International Student Workshop
From September 27 to October 6, Living Lab will host an exciting international student workshop. During this event, students from Ilia State University (Georgia), Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Germany), and Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture (Ukraine) will collaborate to reimagine the open space adjacent to building #2 on Vazha-Pshavela Avenue. The students will develop a cohesive concept for the public space, designing and crafting small park elements - such as furniture, fences, and planters - that will be installed in the above mentioned area for a week. After the workshop, the space will return to its original form.
This initiative seeks to highlight the untapped recreational potential of neglected and unused areas, fostering their long-term transformation into vibrant public spaces.
Community engagement is a key part of both the design and implementation phases. On September 30, at 6:00 PM, in the space adjacent to building #2 on Vazha-Pshavela Avenue, students will present their ideas to the residents and other interested community members. This interactive session will provide an opportunity to gather valuable feedback and suggestions. We warmly encourage residents to actively participate in this exciting discussion and contribute to the realization of the project.
