Celebrating the Closing of the Student Workshop: A Neighborhood Transformation

On October 6, we celebrated a real community event as the student workshop wrapped up. The students successfully completed their tactical urbanism projects, and the open space near Building №2, once used for chaotic parking, underwent a remarkable transformation.
Now, the area features a communal table with benches, playful elements for both children and adults and plenty of new greenery. Together with the students, we focused on re-zoning the space, organizing it thoughtfully, and introducing new functional uses.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for the closing event and shared their feedback on this public space transformation. Special thanks to the active residents who have already volunteered to take care of some of the plants and urban furniture. If you’re interested in maintaining a plant or outdoor furniture, we still have some available spots!

There’s still much to learn about how this updated territory will function in practice, so feel free to stop by the Living Lab during open hours to share your thoughts or send us your comments and suggestions via email or in the comments.
